For David Johnson, being laid off turned
into an opportunity for both himself, some
of his fellow co-workers, and for local
industry. When a local company laid off many of
it's workers due to a slow down within the
industry, David Johnson took the initiative
to start a new business.
ATR of PA, Inc. was formed by David Johnson
and his wife Cynthia Johnson.
ATR Of PA stands for Assemblers, Technicians
and Rebuilders of Envelope and Specialty
Machinery. Offering some of the same services
that he did as a technician for a local
company,
he became a private contractor in the industry,
which then grew into a small company which
helped to employ other laid off co-workers.
Providing them with employment in a field they
already knew as well as the opportunity
to work locally without having to relocate.
ATR offers complete envelope machine remanufacturing services, along with
advances in envelope machine technology, safety, efficiency, and
productivity.
The heart of ATR is our rich pool of highly skilled workers including
engineers, supervisors, technicians, machine auditors, print experts, and
machinists, many exceeding 20-25 years experience building and operating
envelope machinery.
ATR technicians receive the highest commendations from customers, praising
the professional quality and distinction of their exemplary workmanship, which
has been proven on a world wide basis in the work field for over twenty years.

machinery. These individuals are of superlative skill level and ability specific
to all domains of envelope machinery. This team of engineers, "A" mechanical and
electrical technicians, machine auditors, and machinists possess respective
